For a couple of weeks there I kind of went on strike against myself. It happens periodically - I decide that it's nicer to sit down and eat the hot/warm dinner when I set it on the table rather than photograph it so much that I'm eating lukewarm or frankly cold food nightly. Shocking, I know.Still, I have an obligation to the three people who read the blog more than once a week, and I am a little vain about providing Conrad
with nice dinners, so...Some salmon tonight.
Seared, simply. A topping of capers, shallots, and parsley in plenty of butter. And if that wasn't rich enough, then there's the nice thin wedge of Ossau-Iraty cheese we picked up earlier this evening at Pastoral.
Ahhhh, now there's a fine store. We went in to place an order for a customized tray to be served at our wine tasting party on Saturday. Six cheeses, plus some other fun things, and a bit of fun stuff to bring home for ourselves as well.

all of it looks lovely, per usual, of course, but i must confess that i bought about a pound of bing cherries earlier this week ... they're just so beautiful, and tasty too. yours look divine as well.
I love cherries, and when I saw the Rainier cherries on for a good price not long ago, I bought some of those. They go so well with walnuts, one of my current obsessions. And cheese!
:-)
I'm envious of your balcony dinners, Peter ;) I never tire of looking at your delicious food pics.
Yummy! Conrad is looking fab too!
He ALWAYS looks fab. But I think he looks especially trim and handsome lately.
And that is what I meant by Conrad looking fab!
I agree, Allison, though I think he looks even better in the Whole Foods entry shots!
Looks and sounds good! And very healthy, aside from that "...in plenty of butter" part - lol!
The cherries look good!
Can't wait til we have a finished off backyard to sit out like you guys do for all your meals. (And you know why this is pretty much a joke - LOL)
