ideal evening

I was looking at these photos and thinking back to last Friday night, and I could not for the life of me recall what dinner actually was. Eventually it came to me: some salmon, simply baked and served with broccoli. Tasty enough.

The real fun Friday - diningwise - was before the main course. We'd done a good shop at Sam's, and among the delights we picked up were some cheeses, jamón serrano, and a Central Otago Pinot Noir. We DO have to get ourselves ready for the NZ trip - still five LOOOOOOOONG months away. Merde.



But, ah. How nice to sit in the living room, look out on an autumn night, sip and nibble, and appreciate what was a rare Friday night at home together.
