The parking gods were with us, I am happy to report, and after poking in some shops, we made our way to the bar at Glowbal Grill. We've been there on multiple previous occasions, and we like it even if it made me too hip or something for a couple of old marrieds like us.
Being healthy and all, we started simply with salads - greens and veggies and all that, you know.

From there it was on to the combination platter (that sounds so bad, that description) of satays. A fine variety of meats (and veggies, if you count the garnish and the tempura mushrooms). It's fun to share and get a taste of the various things, too.

We especially loved this little guy - a grilled baby octopus. In fact, some of the others were more delicious, but this was so darn cute. Not that cuteness is an impediment to us eating the thing....

Yesterday was a return to another place we've enjoyed, Locus. Not so much lunch as late late breakfast. Sheri, an old friend from back home (the benefits of Facebook - re-establishing contact with people) joined us, and over some eggs we all got caught up on the gossip. A lovely time of it, definitely.
