getting reacquainted with an old friend

It's lovely to meet up with someone you haven't seen in ages and catch up on things. Better still when things seem as if you last saw your friend only minutes ago. A good feeling to have.

Yesterday, Conrad and I spent quality time over lunch at Jameson's by the Sea in Hale'iwa with our dear old friend Mai Tai. She's looking good, I have to say. We plan to see her tonight over dinner at the Halekulani, too.

An aside: Honolulu is completely socked in with drizzle right now. An impressive sight, but it may mean a cab to dinner rather than a stroll down into Waikiki.

I know, those two or three of you who ever read this blog feel really sorry for me right now, right?
