before I go pack...

... a quick post. Conrad and I have a quick dash up to the UP for the weekend to cheer on his nephew's offroad truck racing (last time we went up, he made a podium, so we're hoping for more success!). We've had a relaxing dinner of order in sushi, a nice bottle of a California Pinot Noir, and a bowl of cherries. Which, coincidentally, often describes my life.

Ah, but I'm in a good mood from a good dinner and a very good talk of times ahead. I have no real theme to this blog except a slightly treacly declaration of my appreciation for all that's good in my life (you know who you are, all of you).

But packing calls. Expect a UP post on here next week!
