the Little Italy

I had the evening to myself last night.  I got home from work, foraged in the fridge for food I didn't have to cook, and made a cocktail.  No citrus fruits on hand, so it was a spirit-forward drink for me.  The Little Italy.  It's a variation on a Manhattan, made with rye and swapping out a bit of the sweet vermouth for Cynar.  Tasty enough, but not what I wanted last night, it turned out.  I poured something else for a second drink with some instant noodles (yep, that kind of VERY LAZY night).  Still, the Little Italy made for some nice photos.
