Just as the shirt says: free people read freely. I usually keep my professional matters out of this blog, but the attacks in this country on intellectual freedom (and elsewhere - the US doesn't have a monopoly on this) are chilling, to say the least (which is why I was wearing this one day all around Glasgow).
It can't just be library workers who are fighting this fight. It has to be others, too. Consider supporting the work of the American Library Association and the Freedom to Read Foundation. Buy and wear a tshirt with pride, and spread the message. Stand up against book bans and the curtailment of intellectual freedom.
